Our four-year-old groups will be visiting the Mooroolbark Fire Station for a hands-on learning experience led by Dean Blyth from Mooroolbark CFA.
🔵 Blue Group: Tuesday, 3rd June | 12:00pm – 1:00pm
🟢 Green Group: Wednesday, 4th June | 9:30am – 10:30am
🚒 During the excursion, children will:
- Learn about good and bad fires, smoke alarms, and family fire safety plans
- Practise safety drills and evacuation procedures
- Explore fire trucks, uniforms, and specialist equipment up close
- This is a fantastic opportunity for children to engage with real-world safety learning in an interactive setting.
🧯 Parent Transport Required
Parents are required to transport their child to and from the fire station.
🔵 Blue Group Schedule
- Tuesday, 3rd June | 12:00pm – 1:00pm
- Kinder begins at 8:00am as usual
- Parents return to kinder at 11:40am to transport children to the fire station
- Children must be signed in at the fire station
- After the visit, sign your child out and depart from the fire station
🟢 Green Group Schedule
- Wednesday, 4th June | 9:30am – 10:30am
- The session begins directly at the fire station
- Children must be signed in at the fire station at 9:30am
- After the visit, sign your child out, transport them back to kinder, and sign them in again
- Kinder concludes at the usual time
👥 Adult Helpers
We require one adult for every three children. Adults with a Working with Children Check are welcome to stay and assist.
Please note: No toddlers or older siblings can attend.
